Help for your reading
Read the World English Bible Classic offline at your own pace, with optional free translation downloads. Reading history, guided practice, Your Timeline, weekly reflection, local search, sharing, export and backup are available to everyone. The Scripture widget is available on supported Apple devices. Plus adds new sermon note creation, optional cloud sync, devotions, verse insights and bounded cloud recovery without changing the complete free reader.
Contact the developer
Email doomscrollthebible@gmail.com for a problem, Scripture concern, purchase question, suggestion, or privacy request.
Publisher: Doom Scroll the Bible. Use Send feedback in the app to preview useful version, build, operating system and update details. Include the steps that led to the problem. Please do not send private notes or backup files unless you intend to share them.
Subscriptions and purchases
Use Restore purchases in Doom Scroll Plus when a subscription is missing. Manage an App Store subscription in Apple subscription settings or an Android subscription in Google Play Payments and subscriptions. Request refunds through the store where you purchased. Canceling stops renewal while access normally continues through the paid period, unless refunded or revoked. Use the same app account and sign in provider when restoring. Apple and Google sign in can create separate accounts; the app does not currently offer account linking.
Delete your Doom Scroll the Bible account
In the app, open Doom Scroll Plus, choose Delete Plus account, and confirm your identity. This remains available after Plus ends. Google accounts use Google identity confirmation on Android; Apple accounts use Apple identity confirmation on supported Apple devices. A linked Apple identity still requires Apple confirmation. Contact us if you cannot complete that step.
You can also request deletion without installing or opening the app. Email doomscrollthebible@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Doom Scroll the Bible account. Tell us whether you used Apple or Google sign in. We will verify that you own the account before removing it and may ask you to complete a secure identity verification step. Do not send passwords, sign in codes, identity tokens, private notes, or backup files.
Deletion removes your app account and its developer operated cloud content, including synced writing, saved cloud content, recovery history, Recently Deleted content, and authenticated concern reports. Minimal billing, fraud prevention, security, and deletion records may remain for purchase support, accounting, and proof of deletion. Local copies and exported files stay with you until you remove them. Store and other service providers apply their own retention rules.
Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate. Deleting the account or uninstalling the app does not stop subscription renewal. Cancel in Apple subscription settings or Google Play Payments and subscriptions if you no longer want to renew. You can request account deletion whether or not your subscription is active.
Your Timeline
Your Timeline is local first and records intentional saved activity, not every verse viewed. It can include bookmarks, highlights, private notes, completed passages, and saved Plus records that are present on the device. It is not a spiritual score. Records without a trustworthy historical date appear honestly under Earlier saved items.
Sermon notes and Your Collection
Sermon drafts save on the device as you write. Completed sermon notes sync only when Plus is active and private cloud sync is enabled. Existing local sermon notes, saved generated content, timeline entries, search, export, and backup remain available after Plus ends. Use Your Collection to reopen sermons, devotions, insights, weekly reflections, and favorites.
Cloud history, cloud copies, and account deletion
Cloud sync is off until you enable it. While Plus is active, History and Recovery can keep ordinary deleted cloud records and up to ten meaningful versions per eligible record for up to 30 days. It does not save every keystroke and does not replace manual backup. Delete Cloud Copies removes current cloud records, history, and recently deleted payloads without removing local copies or backup files, and older devices cannot silently upload those copies again. You can deliberately enable sync later to recreate cloud copies from a device you choose. Delete Plus account also removes the account after confirming your identity with its sign in provider, but does not cancel Apple or Google Play billing. Cancel separately in the store where you subscribed if you no longer want it to renew. At effective expiration or refund, cloud content including recovery data is removed automatically and local copies remain.
Offline reading and updates
WEB Classic and fonts are bundled. KJV, BSB and ASV 1901 are free optional downloads that work offline after installation. KJV is unavailable in the United Kingdom while permission is pending; its optional Apocrypha is a separate additional collection. BSB and ASV do not share that restriction. Ordinary reading, timeline browsing, sermon editing, local search, local review, export, and the selected Scripture widget on supported Apple devices work without a network. Store downloads, sync, cloud recovery, generated content, and compatible app updates need internet access.
Find a passage again
Open Reading history from the menu to find passages that stayed visible for at least 1.5 seconds. History keeps the latest 90 days, up to 2,000 visits, on this device. A visit is not a completion score. Anyone using this installation can see it. Pause recording, remove visits, or clear history whenever you choose. History stays out of backups, sync and feedback.
Take a guided tour
Start a tour to try the real reading controls with temporary practice data. Skip to be reminded in a later session, or dismiss to stop automatic prompts. You can replay tours from Help. The first tour introduces the free reader and finishes at Plus; subscribing is optional. The Plus tour appears after verified access and does not spend credits or generate content.
Back up before changing devices
Use Backup and restore to save a readable JSON file outside the app. It includes private notes, sermon notes, reviews, weekly and devotional reflections, timeline metadata, saved devotions, saved Insights, and other local records, so choose a destination you trust. The last folder save date updates only after the file is written and verified. Check that you still have the file before relying on it. A share sheet closing does not confirm that a copy was saved. Reading history and tour progress are not included.
Manual backup is separate from cloud sync and temporary cloud recovery. The recovery copy kept before a restore is inside the app and does not survive uninstalling it. Restoring an old backup can bring back writing you deleted after the backup was made. Sermon PDF and text exports are human readable copies, not a complete app backup.
