Using the app

Doom Scroll the Bible provides Scripture reading tools and optional generated commentary for personal use. Scripture and generated commentary are presented separately. Generated content may be incomplete or wrong and should be considered thoughtfully.

Doom Scroll Plus

Plus is an automatically renewing subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play. The price and billing period shown on the store purchase sheet control your purchase. Payment is charged through your store account after confirmation. Apple subscriptions renew unless you cancel through Apple at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Google Play subscriptions renew unless canceled before renewal. Manage or cancel your subscription in the store where you purchased it. Canceling normally leaves access available through the paid period unless the purchase is refunded or revoked.

Plus includes optional cloud sync, bounded Cloud History and Recovery, one daily devotional choice for each local day, up to five new bounded verse insights per server controlled UTC day, and other features shown in the app. Unused daily devotional access and daily Insights do not roll over. Cloud recovery is temporary, does not replace manual backup, and is removed with other cloud content at effective expiration. Reasonable limits and temporary service pauses may protect reliability, safety, and cost.

Deleting a Plus account removes its developer operated cloud copies but does not cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription or remove local copies on the device. Subscription cancellation is handled separately in Apple subscription settings or Google Play Payments and subscriptions. You can request account deletion from the Plus screen or contact doomscrollthebible@gmail.com if you cannot use the app. We verify account ownership before deletion.

Use the same sign in provider and account to return to your Plus records. Apple and Google sign in can create separate accounts, and the app does not currently offer account linking. A store purchase does not automatically transfer cloud content to a different account.

On demand devotionals

An on demand devotional is a separate consumable purchase. One completed credit request produces one unique generated devotion. A credit is restored automatically when generation fails before a result is delivered. Consumed purchases cannot be restored as unused credits. Unused credits are associated with the app account that received them, subject to verified store purchase records.

Availability and changes

Cloud and AI features require internet access and may be unavailable during maintenance, provider incidents, safety review, or a configured cost limit. The complete offline Bible reader remains available without Plus. Features may change when necessary, but paid access will not be described in a misleading way.
